This intimate wedding on Florida’s Emerald Coast took place on February 15, 2020 when Bentley and Mike Jackson were married in Santa Rosa Beach just across from Surfing Deer.
Bentley and Mike have one of the most incredible stories. They both lived down opposites ends of a street from a yoga studio in Dallas, Texas. Mike worked at the studio full-time and Bentley was attending frequent classes. Mike said that he vividly remembers the very first moment that Bentley walked in the studio and Bentley remembers Mike’s classes because of his hip-hop/rap playlists, how challenging his classes were and that Mike was also so very encouraging. Mike was immediately intrigued by her smile, how shy she was and getting really distracted trying to teach class.
In 2016, after a few months of attending classes, Bentley signed up for a 200 hour yoga teacher training. Once she started teaching at the studio, Mike asked her to go to breakfast down the street one Saturday morning after they had both taught classes. Reluctant, but hungry, Bentley agreed.
The quick breakfast turned into four hours of conversation. Conversation about family, art, music and food. Conversations about their life passions and where they those passions would lead and aspiring for more than the daily grind offered. As the story goes…the rest is history. That four hour breakfast led to the most incredibly beautiful wedding day that Florida’s Emerald Coast has ever seen.
